I love Cub Scouting! It has become a part of our family's way of life. Why not since all I have are sons?! I feel somewhat remorseful over not being involved in cub scouting when my oldest one was a cub scout. He is now an Eagle and I am so proud of him! He also wishes I was more involved back now that he sees what his younger brothers are doing in scouting.
I am heavily involved in Council Committees and I really enjoy working with the parents from other Packs. It has become my missionary time. I am always asked about LDS scouting and the Church. It is amazing how many have LDS friends or know something about the church. What is sad, at times, the negative affects of those LDS members in scouting who have not set a proper example.
I will not be disclosing where I live, what ward/stake nor council in which I reside. I will not be posting my sons names or how many I have. Nor will I disclose what my calling is. Just be rest assured it is in Cub Scouting. Some of my views are probably more liberal than most LDS scout Leaders and I need to protect myself.
